Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful force reshaping economic systems, public governance, and societal organization. As governments around the world grapple with the opportunities and risks associated with AI, critical questions arise regarding regulation, governance capacity, public value, and the use of AI in policy design and implementation.

The AI and Public Policy International Conference aims to bring together scholars and practitioners to exchange innovative research, insights, and best practices on the governance and policy implications of AI. Through interdisciplinary dialogue and comparative perspectives, the conference seeks to advance theoretical understanding and generate actionable policy insights for public officials and policymakers.

The two-day conference will be held in person in Singapore on November 19–20, 2026 and is organized by the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and co-organized by the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship.

In collaboration with the journal Technological Forecasting and Social Change (TFSC), NCPA will also host a TFSC Paper Development Workshop on November 20, 2026. The workshop aims to support scholars in developing research manuscripts for potential submission to TFSC. In line with the journal’s mission, the workshop welcomes papers addressing AI as a technology and its societal, economic, or policy implications, using any empirical method and at any level of analysis. Each selected paper will receive in-depth feedback from members of the TFSC editorial board.
